The giant corporation Monsanto continues to pile up the negative press. This mega company is responsible for the artificial sweetener aspartame (Nutrasweet), Genetically Modified food products (GMO) and Roundup, the herbicide. Nutrasweet is a hot topic because many scientists feel that consuming its main ingredient, aspartame, can lead to many health related illness and even mimic the symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis. Genetically Modified Foods have been found to also cause health problems and in certain countries they are banned for consumption. Some countries have consumer protection laws that food labels must state whether or not the food came from genetically modified seeds.

The latest Monsanto debacle surrounds the use of Roundup. Roundup contains Glyphosate, which is a major hazard to the environment and animal and human health. A recent study on Glyphosate concluded that there is no solid evidence linking Glyphosate exposure to adverse reproductive system issues. The kicker is that the recently released study was funded by Monsanto. The crimes against humanity just get deeper and deeper.
